Clear Aligners & Orthodontics in Jersey City
Straighten your teeth without a mouthful of metal. Clear aligners are thin, removable trays that move your teeth quietly over time, and at Limitless Dental® they are planned by a dentist who does full cosmetic work, so the goal is not just straight teeth, it is the right smile for your face.
Who Clear Aligners Are For
Most of our aligner patients are adults who had braces years ago and drifted back, or who never straightened their teeth and do not want anyone at work to know they finally are. You can take the trays out to eat, brush, and for a photo. No brackets, no wires, no monthly tightening.

The Aligner Systems We Offer
We are not tied to a single brand, so we match the system to your case rather than forcing your case into one product.
CandidPro
A professional, dentist-directed clear aligner system, not a mail-order kit. Every CandidPro case is co-treatment planned with an orthodontist, who also monitors your progress virtually while Dr. Nick handles your care in the chair. This is what we reach for on most cases.
Invisalign
The most recognized name in clear aligners. We are an Invisalign provider, so if it is the right fit for your teeth, you can have your treatment done here.
The Right Fit, Not the Popular One
Some smiles are better served by one system than the other. Because we offer both, we can be honest with you about which one will actually get you the result you want.
Is Clear Aligner Treatment Right for You?
Aligners handle a wide range of cases beautifully, and there are a few they are not built for. We will tell you honestly which camp you are in at the consultation.
Crowding
Teeth that overlap or twist because there was never quite enough room for them.
Spacing and gaps
Spaces between teeth, including a gap in the front, closed gradually and predictably.
Relapse after braces
Teeth that shifted back after childhood braces because a retainer stopped being worn.
Before veneers
Aligning first often means we can then do the most conservative veneer work, sometimes even no-prep.

The Cosmetic Advantage of Straightening Here
This is the difference between aligners at a general office and aligners at a cosmetic practice. Dr. Nick is looking at your whole smile, not just tooth position.
Sometimes straightening alone gets you exactly where you want to be. Other times the smart plan is to align the teeth first, then finish with a small amount of cosmetic work. Moving your own teeth into the right position before adding porcelain usually means less tooth reduction and a more natural result than veneers alone. We map that whole path out with you up front, so you are choosing the plan, not discovering it halfway through. See our porcelain veneers and full cosmetic options.

How Clear Aligner Treatment Works
- Digital scan, no goopy trays. We scan your teeth with a small wand and design your finished smile on screen before you commit to anything.
- You see the plan first. We show you the projected result and the timeline, and answer the real question: how long, and what will it look like.
- Your trays are made. You wear each set for the prescribed time, then move to the next. Aligners work best worn 20 to 22 hours a day, so basically everything except eating and brushing.
- Quick check-ins. We monitor your progress and make adjustments as needed. Most cases run somewhere between 6 and 18 months depending on how much movement you need.
- A retainer keeps it. Teeth remember where they were. We finish with a retainer so the result you paid for stays put.
Planned by Dr. Nick, Start to Finish
Your treatment is designed by Dr. Nick Ciardiello, DMD, FICOI, a Kois Center graduate trained under Dr. John Kois in Seattle. Clear aligners are not a mail-order kit here. A dentist who does veneers and full smile makeovers every week is the one deciding where your teeth should end up, which matters most if straightening is the first step toward a larger cosmetic goal.
On CandidPro cases you also get a second set of eyes. An orthodontist co-treatment plans the case with him and monitors your progress virtually as your teeth move, so a specialist is watching the movement while your dentist watches the whole smile.
What It Costs
Clear aligner treatment is often more affordable than patients expect, and it does not require dental insurance. For patients without insurance, our in-house Savings Plan brings the cost down, and we offer monthly financing through Proceed Finance, Sunbit, and Cherry so you can spread it out. We give you the full number in writing at your consultation, before anything starts. See all your options on our payment and financing page.
If you have dental insurance
Most plans put a limited amount toward orthodontic treatment, so expect it to cover part of the cost rather than all of it. We check your benefits and give you the exact number in writing before you start.
The rest, handled here
Whatever your plan does not cover can be split into monthly payments in our office, so the balance is spread out instead of due all at once.
